What would you want the candidates to know about our commitment to students and learning at Monkton Central School?

  1. The teachers of MCS are dedicated to creating an environment for the students that is challenging, creative, and fun. Many parents volunteer to support enrichment programs.

  2. If possible, we would like our students to learn something while they are at school. While there is always room for improvement, for the most part it seems to be mostly working, so if you can manage not to mess things up too much, that would be cool. At least not till my kids are out of there.

  5. You will have a large following of supportive parents, some of whom work full time and still want to play a helpful role in their children's education and some of whom have more time to devote to school activities. It will be helpful to continue to support parent involvement as an enrichment to our classrooms and support of our very dedicated teachers.

  6. Even though we are a small school the parents are very involved and we are trying to keep the schools learning updated and challenging. An example is we are now in the process of looking to have a foreign language teacher. I hope the new principal will be open to changes that will help challenge our students more.

  7. Many schools struggle to build the kind of parent involvement that Monkton schools enjoy. Parents should feel welcome and included in the process of educating their children.
